Tuesday, 13th October

Anti-CEC protesters from the Disha Students' Organisation and Revolutionary Workers Party of India (RWPI) were headed to reclaim Jantar Mantar on the morning of 13 October near Janpath and Connaught Place after it was denotified as a designated protest site on the evening of 12 October.

After the protesters were detained, they were given water by the Delhi Police with a camera pointed at them, and soon enough the water can was picked up and taken.

The detainees were not given food or water afterwards, and were kept in darkness at the community centre.

Two protesters had bruises from the brutal detainment and one person was asthmatic. RWPI had published an SOS reel on their Instagram at 7:30 PM urging people to show up and release the detainees.

Women detainees were allowed to leave by the evening but they refused to leave without the detained men. Queerbeatmedia reports that the assaulted and detained protesters included four queer people.

Finally, after two lawyers attempted negotiations and "official orders" came in, the protesters were released at around 9:30 PM.
