On Monday, 5th January 2026, the Ashoka University Student Government (AUSG) sent an email releasing the Student Government Monthly Report for November 2025. As per the email, the report “provides a detailed overview of the SG’s work during the month, including updates on initiatives, events, ministry-wise progress, and ongoing projects across campus.”
The Cultural Ministry (Jazbaa)
In November, Jazbaa organised The Carnival with the support of the Student Life Office (SLO). The Carnival saw the largest event turnout, with an estimated 2,500–3,000 participants, making it one of the biggest events hosted on campus. Other initiatives included a finals week picnic, a Centres Expo treasure hunt and expanded intercollegiate fest outreach. Jazbaa’s digital engagement also rose sharply by focusing on capturing major campus events and student moments, sharing a total of six posts during the month. The Ministry continued its efforts towards inclusivity and accessibility across campus with inclusive student mixers, a comprehensive guide for clubs and societies covering finance, grievance redressal, and policies where students can borrow electronic items.
The Ministry of Academic Affairs (MAA)
The Ministry of Academic Affairs organised an Academic Integrity Project stall and facilitated meetings between academic society heads and the administration, with the aim of focusing on academic support and integrity. They hosted workshops on course registration, academic writing and citations. The MAA also organised a mixer for international students in collaboration with Ashoka University International Students Association (AUISA) and Eeshto, the board games society. The report concluded by detailing upcoming tasks such as circulating key MAA resources and extending classroom access hours during finals week.
The Sports Ministry
For the Sports Ministry, the Athlete Mentorship Program continued to see strong engagement across multiple sports such as football, tennis and badminton. The Ministry further organized ‘Run for a Cause’ in collaboration with Neev: The Community Engagement Club and IEEE Ashoka Student Branch, while also strengthening inclusivity in campus sports through organizing a dedicated sports event with SOBAC for visually impaired students. They also worked on improving Student-Athelete accountability and representation, reported progress on policy reforms, such as the digitisation of cycle borrowing, gym equipment cataloguing, and revised award nomination procedures. The Ministry reported work to enhance outreach and the visibility of campus sports, as well as laid the groundwork for future opportunities for athletes in collaboration with the Sports Enthusiast Club.
The Environment Ministry
The Environment Ministry reported steady progress on campus sustainability through data collection and on-ground initiatives. Over 100+ responses were recorded on the Waste Segregation Survey and over 50+ plastic bottles were collected for recycling. Further, they reached out to Goonj– an Indian NGO, to set up a collection system for recycling large banners, and are meeting with fests such as Agneepath and Banjara to ensure sustainable operations. The Ministry also reported a paper waste disposal mechanism as well as upcoming tasks that include sustainable mensuration events with the Ministry of Community Well Being (MCWB), a waste segregation report and more.
The Technology Ministry (TechMin)
The Technology Ministry focused on improving institutional accessibility and interactions with university systems. They released a revamped SG Platform with improved UI/UX for a seamless user experience. TechMin also conducted a three-day E-Sport tournament as well as organized a course registration workshop in collaboration with MAA, guiding about 100 first year students through the process of course registration.
Campus Life Ministry (CLM)
The Campus Life Ministry focused on addressing everyday student welfare concerns. Extended laundry timings were implemented on the new campus, affordable food options for students were expanded through ‘Binge N Bite’ as well as a new outlet ‘Chak de Chicken’. CLM also organized the Grub Fest in collaboration with the Dining Team which drew over 2500+ students. The Ministry successfully advocated for students living in RH-1 to continue occupying their rooms during winter break and organized a wellbeing movie screening close to finals week. Additionally they disseminated information on Smog Week measures, including the use of sprinklers and tree-washing.
