Mithyā and Myth-Making Through Classical Dance
Abhinaya’s Indian Core took the stage on the Thursday night of 26 March. Presenting Mithyā, their Spring ’26 production, they promised an evening of illusions. The team was prepared: during the wait in the queue, the audience were handed papers containing links to the Amar Chitra Katha stories to be performed for the evening. They promised a ‘layered experience’, and a layered experience it was.

Hum Nachte Kyun Hain?: On An Artist’s Love For Art
Pratyush Mishra (UG’27), an aspiring filmmaker who enjoys singing and acting, was inspired by films such as Black Swan (2010), Phantom Thread (2017), and Whiplash (2014) when he wrote the play Hum Nachte Kyun Hain? (“Why do we dance?”). “I had always wanted to write a story about an artist, how they feel for their art, and why they do their art.”
